About the game
Match-3 is the beloved casual puzzle format: swap neighboring tiles to form lines of three or more identical items, which vanish and drop new ones in.
How to play
Click a tile and swap it with an adjacent one. When three or more line up, they clear and the board refills. Create cascades for bonus points.

Advanced guide
Excellent match-3 play means thinking one step ahead. Prefer swaps near the bottom to capitalize on gravity-fed cascades, and aim to create special gems by lining up four or five. Don't just clear the obvious match - set up a board state that chains.
History & origins
Popularized by Bejeweled in 2001, match-3 became the backbone of the casual game industry.
