About the game
Klondike Solitaire is the classic card game: move cards between tableau piles by alternating color and descending rank, uncovering hidden cards to free them, and build the four foundations up from Ace to King.
How to play
Drag or click cards to move them onto a descending, opposite-color card, or to a foundation when its sequence is ready. Flip face-down cards as you clear columns.
Tips & strategy
['Reveal face-down cards as a priority.', "Don't rush to move cards to foundations; keep them for sequences.", 'Empty columns are best saved for Kings.']
Advanced guide
Solitaire is won by sequencing, not speed. Prioritize exposing face-down cards, and resist shipping every available card to a foundation - those cards often enable tableau cascades. Keep an empty column reserved for a King so you can relocate long runs.
History & origins
Solitaire became a household game after it shipped free with Windows 3.0 in 1990.
